It all begins with the Thanksgiving cruise. The old gang comes back for their last cruise and the new trainees join them for good food, good sailing and lots of comraderie.
DE-RIG AND WINTER PROGRAM
Now the work begins. First the good ship is de-rigged. Then the maintenance begins. Almost every weekend during the winter is used to maintain her.
There is also training. The crew learns chart work, navigation, radio operation, marine emergency duties and last but not least, food handling.
