A summer sailing camp for youth aboard the Tall Ship St. Lawrence II, sailing from Kingston, Ontario!

"Brigantine Incorporated is a registered charity dedicated to empowering, connecting, and inspiring youth through the challenges of sailing a traditionally rigged ship. Through experiential learning and skills development we build confidence, strength, and leadership in our ship's crew. The unique shipboard environment we provide forges friendships, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility to the community. Our sail training programs broaden horizons and inspire our youth to be a positive force in the world.

Brigantine Incorporated is also committed to preserving rare maritime skills and heritage, promoting respect for our natural environment, and providing the training and experience required to become an outstanding professional mariner."

SQUARE-RIG SAILING EXPERIENCE at The Port of Bath marine Heritage Festival - Saturday June 20th from 1700-1900 - $30!

The St. Lawrence II is now fully operational! There was a good amount of work done this year, including rebuilding some hatches, fabricating a new AP hatch, rebuilding the main spreaders, and doing repair work on the lower masts. Super volunteer Ed did his darnedest to repair the radar scanner, but due to some wet circuits it was for not - so we bought a replacement from Florida and now it works better then ever!

We have had a number of really enjoyable sails with the Royal Canadian Sea cadets, Leahurst College, Sutton Reality, and our Raffle Winners & Friends! The crew is shaping up to be a dynamite group of seafarers and we are all looking forward to a really fun and exciting season!

The youth crew and volunteers are working hard on continuous improvements to the ship
. Currently we are working on block inspection & rebuilding, spar inspection & repair, improving the wiring of the emergency back-up power supply, "Cape Horning" the skylights, and Ed just installed a much improved high bilge alarm for the Engine Room (it's really loud and has a big red light).
